Tourists
 
  Those travelling to Sri Lanka for Tourism purposes do not need a visa. An entry endorsement valid for 30 days may be obtained on arrival at Colombo, by bona fide tourists who are citizens of the countries listed in Schedule 'A' of the Department of Immigration and Emigration website (www.immigration.gov.lk) which includes Belgium and Luxembourg.

  Any request for extension of a tourist visa must be made to the Controller of Immigration and Emigration in Colombo . Maximum period, for which an extension may be granted, is 02 months.

  Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy Web-site or be collected at the Consular Division of the Embassy. A request can also be made by post, by sending a self addressed stamped envelop.

  Prior visa valid for up to 03 months can also be obtained at the Embassy of Sri Lanka by bona-fide tourists.

  Foreign nationals visiting Sri Lanka for purposes other than holiday/tourism must have apply for visa prior to departure.

  Citizens of countries not listed in the Schedule 'A' should obtain prior visit visas irrespective of the purpose of visit.
